Luciane Pimentel Costa Monteiro holds a degree in chemical engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (1980), a master’s degree in chemical engineering – Postgraduate Program in chemical engineering (1983), COPPE- UFRJ, a PhD in civil engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2007), and a postdoctorate in civil engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2009). She is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Federal University of Fluminense, Dean of the College of Engineering at UFF, and professor in the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering. She has experience in chemical engineering, with an emphasis on separation and mixing operations, working mainly on the following topics: contamination, environment, oil and natural gas, and environmental impact.
